Weather cancels outdoor Winterfest activities

Outdoor Waterfront Wintefest activities have been postponed, set up continues and it is anticipated that all outdoor activities will resume once winds subside first thing Saturday (Feb 27th) morning

Outdoor Waterfront Wintefest activities have been postponed, set up continues and it is anticipated that all outdoor activities will resume once winds subside first thing Saturday (Feb 27th) morning.
Indoor activities will proceed as scheduled. The Waterfront Warehouse has installed two additional big screens for live Olympic coverage and will serve a special Warm-up for Winterfest menu. The Urban Butter Snowboarding demonstrations and light show, snow carving, skating rink and ball hockey tournament have been postponed until weather improves. And The Waterfront Warehouse Apres Ski party with the live Olympic broadcast will happen as scheduled from 10pm - close Friday and Saturday.

The Halifax Harbourfront Marriott's Chronicle Herald Indoor Playland will be open to the public for free Saturday and Sunday as scheduled and live entertainment at the Fife and Drum will be offered nightly. Free parking on all WDCL lots remains in effect for Saturday February 27 and Sunday February 28th.
