The Bedford Sackville Weekly News has been a part of the community for over 30 years. Distribution has grown considerably in the last few years as the product has gone from a weekly insert to a Free Community Weekly delivered door to door. Bedford Sackville Weekly News is a TMC delivered to all single family homes excluding apartments and condominiums. Every residential household in the areas of Tantallon, Hammonds Plains, Bedford, Sackville and Waverly, a total of 27 210 receive a copy every week.

Windsor Junction shocked by death of area’s much-loved volunteer

When Joy Goudge parted ways with Julie Vials following their meeting last Wednesday, she had no idea it would be the last time she’d see her friend. Vials died in hospital less than four hours after the back of her blue Hyundai Accent was hit by a Via Rail passenger train sometime after 1 p.m. on Jan. 27. The accident occurred at 464 Windsor Junction Rd. next to Watson Lane. There are no warning signs or lighted signals at the private, unmarked cros­sing.
